How to use Catchon TV
Introduction
CatchOnTV stands out as one of the top IPTV players available, offering an exceptional user experience with plenty of customization options. You can tailor the interface to resemble the familiar cable or satellite guide, making navigation easy and intuitive. With the right IPTV provider, CatchOnTV can serve as your all-in-one app for live TV, movies, and TV series through Video on Demand.
Designed primarily for Android-based streaming devices, CatchOnTV works seamlessly on devices like Fire TV, which is a modified version of Android. However, it's important to note that CatchOnTV is not optimized for touchscreens like phones or tablets. While some users have managed to install and use it on touchscreen devices, it’s generally better suited for devices with a remote control. For a smoother experience on touchscreens, there are other players specifically designed for that purpose.

Recording While Watching Live TV
Recording can sometimes be hit or miss. Personally, I record frequently and rarely run into issues, but I often see others struggling to get it working properly. This is usually due to factors like your IPTV provider, internet stability, or device limitations.
Here are some key things to keep in mind:
Playback quality affects recording. If the stream buffers, skips, or doesn't play smoothly, the recording will likely fail or stop midway.
Storage is essential. Make sure you have enough space—most people add external storage for this purpose.
I use a PNY 128GB flash drive on both my FireTV Cube and Nvidia Shield. I created a folder using Xplore File Manager and set TiViMate to record to that folder.
If your device lacks a USB port, you’ll need an OTG cable or adapter to connect a flash drive.
Note: FireTV devices running OS 6 or older may have trouble recognizing external storage
Several ways to record. 1. Live recording while watching same channel - click ok button to bring up lower menu. Then scroll right to the 'Record' icon and click.
2. Live recording - While on the channel guide panel. Long press OK button to bring up right side menu. Then scroll to record and click.
3. Scheduling recordings - While on the channel guide panel. Long press ok button to bring up right side menu. Then scroll to 'Custom Recording' and click. Select 'New Recording' and enter/edit info and then click 'Schedule Recording'. You can scroll to any channel and record future programs by utilizing the directional buttons on the outer ring of your remote. If this is a program you wish record repeatedly. Then make sure your click the 'Repat" toggle. Note: if your catchontv cannot read the folder (usually when trying to use external storage), use the system picker and allow catchontv to access/use the folder.

Use record button to start and stop recording.
Schedule recording
custom recording : This feature allow a user to schedule a future record.

Closed Caption
When watching a program, press the select button, a menu will appear at the bottom. Scroll over to CC and select it. Once you select CC, you will be given an option to select, if there’s no options, CC is not available. It is common though to have the CC option, but it doesn’t work. If it’s not working, try playing it through an external player such as VLC or MX Player then choose your CC.

Multi-Screen or Picture in Picture
Multi-screen is for watching more than one channel at the same time. Only one channel will have audio but you can toggle back and forth to which channel is playing audio. Picture in Picture puts your picture in a small screen in the bottom corner so you can go to other apps. Not ideal for watching multiple channels. To use either, when on a channel, press the select button to bring up the menu on the bottom, then go to either Picture in Picture or Multi-screen and select and follow the on screen instructions. I only use multi-screen and have not had success with Picture in Picture as being usable. Note: Each screen you add counts as a connection, if your provider does not allow multiple connections, this will not work. You can however add screens from multiple providers.

Audio Sync
You may experience a channel where the picture and the sound don’t match up. To correct this, press the select button, scroll down to the menu across the bottom, click on Audio Sync and change the offset up or down a little at a time, go back to what you were watching and see if it helped, keep doing this until the audio/video is synced together. Note: there is an option to apply your changes to all channels, do not select this unless you are experiencing the same problem on all channels
